Through a proprietary process, Kevlar is sandwiched between two layers of carbon fiber pre-preg. This patented (US patent pending) process helps reduce the ovaling effect a rod blank experiences under load, creating an exceptionally smooth powerful rod with remarkable damping (tip bounce) qualities. The result is ultra high line speed with crisp, clean, accurate loops.

TFO’s Axiom series feature a rich translucent blue blank accentuated with gold script and accents, Flor grade cork (reverse half wells on the 4 and 5, full wells with decorative burl rings on the 6-10), gun metal blue up-locking reel seat and large stripping guides with gold titanium oxide inserts.

Bug Launchers include thinner diameter compressed cork grips for a better fit in smaller hands.  The yellow Bug Launcher logo stands out against a candy apple red blank.  Speaking of blanks, this series is made from general graphite so there’s less risk when that passing dragonfly happens to take a swipe.  An extended reel seat allows smaller anglers to use two hands for more control.  Two models, a 7’ 4/5 weight and an 8’ 5/6 weight, both are 2 piece and have a suggested retail of $79.95

Now available in a delicate 2 weight through our popular 10, and castable 12 weights, these travel rods have taken TFO's reputation to new levels.

Previously offered as our Western/Saltwater/Steelhead Series, we've merged them into what Lefty says are the perfect rods for all anglers and skill levels. These medium fast and progressive action rods are smooth casting and are an incredible value. Traveling anglers can afford to take them as a backup, but often return with a new favorite.

Cosmetics include matte black finished blanks and subtle gold logos. They feature alignment dots color coded by line weight, premium grade cork, and oversized stripper guides. Each rod comes with an attractive logoed rod sock so you can add our optional tube or customized your own.

Lefty designed this series for performance. Fast, powerful and smooth, these rods will deliver a fly with distance and accuracy limited only by the angler's skills.

Our proprietary use of titanium and chromium dampens shock and helps protect the rod from errant flies. Hardware includes oversized super-hard titanium oxide stripper guides, premium grade cork, and matte black finished blanks with silver appointments and logos. The powerful 14 weight includes a cork fore grip. Each rod features unique color-coded (by rod weight) alignment dots. Fighting butts and full wells grips are optional on the 6 weight and standard on 7 weights and up. 4, 5, & 6 (lt) weight rods have 2 stripping guards and rods with fighting butts have 3 stripping guards.

These are the ideal rods for meadow streams, limestone creeks, and spring creeks. At short to medium distances, Lefty Kreh Finesse rods cast effortlessly, turning over long leaders easily. The shorter lengths are perfect for tight quarters while the longer length rods will keep a back cast well above tall grasses. Lefty Kreh Finesse rods are handsomely appointed with Rosewood inserts on an up locking reel seat which nicely accentuates the deep olive finish.

Lifting power is the name of the game on the offshore grounds and TFO’s hybrid S-glass sticks in combination with IM6 graphite are built to do battle. If you’re chasing brutes like billfish, tuna, trevally, and sharks these are the sticks you want to have in your arsenal. To provide increased power and durability we put our blue water blanks through the TiCr coating process twice. The top quality components include up locking reel seats, flor grade cork, a full wells grip with a fore grip and a unique blue granite finish. The Baby and Light Duty rods utilize snake and titanium oxide stripping guides. Our Medium Duty and battlewagon Heavy Duty rods have aluminum oxide inserts on all guides including tip tops. In big game fishing where second-rate gear is quickly relegated to the junk pile it’s all important to equip yourself with the right stuff.
