Helen Shaw Fly

RARE FLY tied by Famous Lady Tier, HELEN SHAW of New York.

Pattern “Paratrooper Alvoret”   This pattern was originated for Army Veteran, Al Clements, also of New York. Al is also a great streamer fly tyer and fisherman.  Mounted on a stand & installed in a glass dome.  Helen passed away in early 2008 at the age of 97.  Helen’s flies are rarely seen on the market and are quite hard to acquire.  This dry fly is very nicely tied.  Helen tied this fly in 1981.     $360.
